Qualifications Required: Minimum of one year paid direct care experience. High School diploma or GED*. Ability to be flexible with time and days assigned. Possesses a positive and professional attitude and ability to deal with behavioral and emotional crises. Must be physically able to complete Professional Crisis Management training (if training is required). Will be required to lift and transfer consumers from wheelchairs. Must have a good driving record and dependable transportation. Ability to comprehend and provide written documentation of daily events. Some experience working with developmentally disabled adults preferred.
Brief Description of Job Duties: The on-going supervision of approx 9 residents in a non-ambulatory facility. Provide support and assistance as needed in the areas of self-care and daily living. Provide effective training of the residents that result in the learning of new skills as prescribed by the implementation plan. Provide meaningful activities and recreational activities. Documentation as required by the program and implementation of behavioral programs.
