Arc of Putnam Administration

Much of The Arc’s success can be attributed to our leadership. The Arc of Putnam County is dedicated to assembling a professional team of experienced administrators who not only bring their own unique talents to the agency but who dedicate their careers to making The Arc of Putnam County one of the premier service providers in our field and a centerpiece of the community.


Melissa Miller

Chief Executive Officer

Melissa has worked for St. Johns River State College since 1992 where she most recently served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Campus Executive Director.  She has a long history of advocating for people with intellectual and developmental differences and has been a Board Member for the Arc of Putnam County for over 20 years, serving as Board Chair and Secretary during her tenure.  In addition, she represented the Arc in a legal capacity prior to her time as a Board Member.

In addition to her long history of service to the Arc, Melissa is deeply committed to Putnam County and is a member of the Rotary Club of Palatka, The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, The Putnam County Bar Association, and a Board Member for Community Legal Services of Mid Florida and Lee Conlee House Domestic Violence Shelter.  In 2020, Melissa was awarded the Wes Larsen Living Legacy Award by the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, and in 2003 she was named Outstanding Local Arc President by Arc Florida. 

Brittany Goodson

Chief Financial Officer

Brittany is a long time Putnam County resident. She graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration and worked for two different acute care hospitals. Later, she graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration from Western Governer’s University. Brittany joined The Arc of Putnam County in 2018 as the Chief Financial Officer.

Brittany enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two children.

Katrinia McKnight

Residential Director

Katrinia joined The Arc in 1985, bringing with her valuable experience in forensic resident care. As a valued member of our staff, she demonstrated a quality that matched the agency’s mission of care and was quickly promoted to Residential Facility Manager. Her professional growth as a manager sparked additional promotions to Behavior Specialist and Director of Specialized Residential Services, before being promoted to Residential Director in 1993 where her dedicated service continues.

Palatka is home to Katrinia and her son Kameron.

The Arc of Putnam County provides advocacy, individually tailored living environments, meaningful day activities, work training, employment services, and support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and spina bifida.
